UNIBEN spreads Vietnamese cuisine throughout three regions

UNIBEN, with the 'Reverse - Upstream Grocery Store', donated 5 tons of food including noodles, dipping sauce, bouillon cubes, fruit juice, honey tea, etc., to the people of Mu Cang Chai.

With the philosophy of "no one in the three regions is left behind", UNIBEN initiated a journey to bring Vietnamese cuisine to every corner of the country with the "Reverse - Upstream Grocery Store" tour. The first stop was Kim Noi commune, Mu Cang Chai district, Yen Bai province.

The 'Reverse - Upstream Grocery Store' is a program executed by UNIBEN in partnership with Wechoice, aimed at bringing culinary gifts from the downstream regions to the upstream compatriots, frontier soldiers who perform their duties day and night, and teachers who daily bring education to the children in the highlands. The activity is guided by the principle that no one, no matter how remote their region, will be left behind.

In total, over 5 tons of food and provisions, including 3 Mien noodles, anchovy dipping sauce and 3 Mien bouillon cubes, REEVA noodles, JOCO fruit juice, and BONCHA honey tea, were transported to the residents of Mu Cang Chai.

Although the road to Kim Noi commune was somewhat challenging, the vehicle continued onward. The journey left behind many memories that the organizing committee will never forget.

This journey was joined by Dr. Nguyen Thuc Nu, a Vietnamese super-intelligent figure who impressed many for reading and memorizing 1,000 books by 200 authors around the world. Besides dedicating time to reading, Thuc Nu also enjoys participating in community activities.

During the journey with UNIBEN to Mu Cang Chai, the steep and perilous mountain roads, coupled with the 'arm-sleeve corners' and the bone-chilling cold of the Northwest region, were challenges for Thuc Nu and everyone else in the group.

Being here, I had the opportunity to personally hand out necessities like instant noodles, dipping sauce, 3 Mien bouillon cubes, REEVA noodles, JOCO fruit juice, and BONCHA honey tea to the locals, teachers, and students. The affection from the downstream regions, coupled with these culinary gifts, I hope, will in some way support the challenging lives of the people of the Northwest region," Thuc Nu added.

Along with the essential gifts, UNIBEN also presented a "Sky-High Meal" to the residents of Kim Noi commune. The meal, featuring specialties from all three regions such as West Lake shrimp cake, shrimp spring rolls, Quang noodles, corn sweet soup, and broken rice... Everything appeared like a fairy-tale miracle, sparkling with various colors, embodying the flavors of the three regions.

In addition to the food provisions from the 'Upside-Down Grocery Store' and the 'Sky-High Meal', aiming to ensure that each meal of the locals is hearty and nutritious, UNIBEN also gifted a television and a sound system to Kim Noi Kindergarten to help improve the learning conditions, bringing additional joy to the children every time they attend class.

With UNIBEN, 'no one will be left behind' on this journey. UNIBEN has been and is on the path to fulfill its mission to preserve, promote and spread the value of traditional Vietnamese cuisine throughout the three regions of the country. At the same time, we are fulfilling our responsibility to society and the community to develop sustainably together. There will be many more journeys from UNIBEN promising to take Vietnamese cuisine everywhere, connecting love throughout the three regions.
