On December 20, 2021, Uniben Joint Stock Company officially commenced construction of the Binh Duong Factory Phase III, with an initial investment of about 1,000 billion VND, equivalent to 55 million USD. This solid foundation allows Uniben to continue its foray into the beverage industry, meeting the increasingly high demands of consumers.
The production expansion project has a total area of 80,000m2, within the 160,000m2 factory premises located in the Vietnam Singapore II-A Industrial Park, Binh Duong. The event took place while ensuring safety measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the project schedule, the factory will be completed and begin trial operation in the third quarter of 2022. The Phase III factory will specialize in the production of beverages, facilitating Uniben's delivery of the highest quality and most innovative products to consumers. This provides a solid foundation for the company to confidently penetrate deeper and expand its 'sphere of influence' in the beverage industry, thereby further consolidating its leading position in the fast-moving consumer goods sector.
With an initial investment of over 1,000 billion VND, equivalent to 55 million USD, this will be a leading modern factory in the beverage industry in Vietnam, marking a significant milestone for Uniben and preparing the company for new developments in the medium and long term. Designed to European standards, and with over 95% of the production lines and equipment imported from Germany, the USA, and Switzerland, the Phase III Uniben Binh Duong factory will supply quality products ensuring food safety and hygiene according to HACCP and ISO standards, among others.
A UNIBEN representative shared, "Over the past 10 years, Uniben's brands have consistently been among the top most chosen brands in Vietnam, including 3 Mien with its breakthrough instant noodle products and other condiment products such as dipping sauces and bouillon cubes. At the end of 2019, Uniben expanded into the beverage industry with encouraging results; the newly launched Boncha honey tea and Joco fruit juice have already gained significant popularity among young consumers. The Groundbreaking Ceremony for the construction of Phase III Factory is an important milestone affirming Uniben's consistency in investing in infrastructure in order to continue delivering high-quality, innovative, and breakthrough products to consumers."
Prior to this, Phases I & II of the Binh Duong Factory, which include production lines for instant noodles and condiments, were completed and operational from 2019 and 2020 respectively.
In recent years, Uniben has invested nearly 2,000 billion VND to build two factories designed to European standards, one located in Pho Noi A Industrial Zone (Hung Yen) and the other in the Vietnam - Singapore II-A Industrial Park (Binh Duong). These two factories are among the largest and most advanced in Vietnam, equipped with fully enclosed, fully automated production lines imported from the USA, Germany, etc. They comply with quality management procedures, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, such as HACCP, ISO, and more. At full capacity, Uniben's factories can supply over 3 billion product units annually to both domestic and export markets.
